Choosing a Monitor
When you connect, Wihaister streams a monitor from the workstation. If the workstation has several displays, you can switch between them from the client — one monitor at a time. The list of available monitors is fetched when the session starts, and picking a different monitor switches the stream without reconnecting.
Picture Quality
Wihaister supports streaming up to 4K at 60 FPS. The stream adapts to your connection automatically: on a fast network the picture stays at full quality, and on a congested one the quality steps down gracefully instead of freezing or dropping the session. As bandwidth recovers, quality steps back up on its own.
Keyboard and Mouse
Your keyboard and mouse are forwarded to the workstation in real time:
- Typing, shortcuts, and modifier keys behave as if you were sitting at the machine
- Clicks, drags, and scrolling are forwarded as mouse input
- The client translates your gestures into the events the workstation expects
No configuration is required — input forwarding is active as soon as the session starts.
Touch Controls
On touch-capable devices you can control the session with touch. Taps and gestures are mapped onto mouse actions on the workstation. See Touch Input for details.
Ending a Session
Close the remote desktop view or disconnect from the client to end the session. The tunnel tears down automatically.
